Grilled Veal with Avocado Sauce

Recipe makes 4 servings

Ingredients:

For the veal steaks:
4 veal steaks (about 5.3-7 ounces/ 150-200g each)
2 Tbsp olive oil
1 tsp red pepper flakes
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
Salt and pepper to taste

For the avocado sauce:
2 ripe avocados
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 Tbsp lemon juice
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp cumin (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Rub the veal steaks with olive oil, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Let them marinate for about 10 minutes while preparing the grill.

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.

Place the veal steaks on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side (depending on thickness and desired doneness). Once done, let them rest for a few minutes.

In a food processor, combine the avocado flesh, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, cumin (if using), salt, and pepper.

Process until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning to taste.

Plate the grilled veal steaks and serve with a generous dollop of avocado sauce on top or on the side.
