Beef and Broccoli Stir Fry

Recipe makes 3 servings

Ingredients:

1 lb (450g) beef sirloin steak, cut into strips
400g broccoli
2 Tbsp olive oil
2 Tbsp soy sauce, low sodium
1 Tbsp oyster sauce
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
¼ cup parsley, chopped
2 tbsp sesame seeds

Instructions:

Cut the beef into approximately 2-inch (5cm) long strips. Cut the broccoli into small florets.

Add beef, one tablespoon of the olive oil, soy sauce, oyster sauce, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and parsley to a bowl. Mix well, making sure to coat the meat with the marinade and cover with a large piece of plastic foil. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Meanwhile, heat the remaining tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the broccoli and cover with a lid. Cook for about 15 minutes or until the broccoli is completely tender. Stir occasionally.

When done, remove the broccoli from the pan and set it aside.

Remove the meat from the fridge. Add to the same pan and cook on each side for 5-7 minutes. Put the broccoli back in the pan and stir all well.

Remove from the heat. Optionally, serve everything over cauliflower rice or fresh veggies of your choice. Sprinkle with sesame seeds, and enjoy!
