Keto Hot Cross Buns

The recipe makes 6 buns.

Ingredients:

⅓ сup almond milk
1/4 cup sugar-free sweetener of choice
1 tsp fast-action dry yeast

2 scoops HLTH Code Creamy Vanilla
1 1/2 cup almond flour
2 Tbsp coconut cream

¼ tsp salt
¼ cup melted coconut butter
1 large egg
2 Tbsp grated orange zest
⅓ cup chopped raisins

For the crosses:
¼ cup coconut flour
2 Tbsp almond milk

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350°F/177°C.

In a small bowl, whisk together the almond milk, sweetener, and dry yeast, until bubbling. 

In another bowl combine all the rest of the ingredients and pour over the yeast mixture. Make a dough and leave to rest in a warm place for 1 hour until it has risen

Knead the dough and make portions to equal 6 buns.
Transfer buns onto a small baking tray or ceramic baking dish..

In a bowl, mix coconut flour with almond milk to make a smooth paste. Transfer to a piping bag and make crosses on the buns. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden.
